Sound/projection/livestream consulting

Practical tech help
for small churches, theatres, and schools.

From someone who’s been in your seat.

I help organizations with old, confusing, or unreliable tech (sound, projection, livestream, website) move toward simple, reliable systems—and train real people to use them confidently.

I’m based in Hutchinson, Kansas. I’m not a vendor. I’m not a salesman. I’m a local consultant who cares about doing this well and affordably.

What I Do

Sound

I help you understand and improve your sound so it’s clear, reliable, and easy to run. That might mean fixing ongoing problems, simplifying your setup, EQing your room, microphones and speakers, or training volunteers so sound isn’t stressful anymore.

Projection

I help you improve projection so it’s clear, consistent, and easy to run. That may include better slides and video, simple best practices in ProPresenter, training volunteers or staff, and help moving from projectors to flat screens or confidence monitors when it makes sense.

Livestream

I help you set up and improve livestreams that are reliable and easy to manage. That can include better sound and video, simpler setups, training volunteers or staff, and fixing common issues so online services and events run smoothly without constant stress.

Many of the places I’ve worked had:

  • 20+ year old sound or projection gear
  • volunteer or student operators
  • no one who really “owns” the system or understands how it works
  • anxiety every time something breaks

I help you:

  • understand what you already have
  • troubleshoot and diagnose issues
  • decide if something needs updating or not
  • move toward lightweight, volunteer-friendly digital systems when it makes sense
  • train volunteers or staff so the knowledge sticks

Sometimes that’s a full system rethink.
Sometimes it’s just “please explain why this hum won’t go away.”

How This Works

  • 30-minute free Zoom call
No pressure. We just talk through your situation and see if this is a good fit
  • Consulting, not sales
I don’t sell gear or get commissions from manufacturers or vendors
  • Affordable, flexible pricing
This is a side job for me. I keep it affordable on purpose and I’m open to a pay-what-you-can model when needed

Why Me?

  • I’m a professional musician and church music director
  • 25+ years working with church, theatre, and school tech
  • Deep experience with sound, video, projection, livestream, and digital workflows
  • Comfortable training volunteers, students, and non-technical humans

Who I Work With

  • Small churches
  • Community theatres
  • Local schools

If you’re huge, highly staffed, or looking for a flashy install, I’m probably not your guy. And that’s okay.
